- Author Slug: This is the part of a WordPress author’s profile URL that typically reveals their username. For example: yourwebsite.com/author/johnsmith
- Obfuscate: Means to make something obscure, unclear, or difficult to understand.
- Purpose: This feature changes the author slugs to a random string of characters, making it harder for hackers to figure out valid usernames on your site.
Let’s activate the Obfuscate Author Slugs module:
Step 1 – Setup:
- Log in to your WordPress website.
- Make sure you have UltimaKit for WP Pro installed and activated.
- Go to the “WP UltimaKit” menu.
- Find the “Obfuscate Author Slugs” and turn it on.
