What is Maintenance Mode in WordPress?

  • Temporary State: Maintenance mode is a feature in WordPress that allows you to hide your website from public view while you make significant changes behind the scenes.
  • Visitor Experience: When in maintenance mode, visitors will see a customizable message or page explaining that the site is under construction, instead of your usual content.
  • Admin Access: Administrators (those logged into the WordPress backend) can still access the site, make updates, and preview changes.

Let’s activate the Maintenance Mode module:

Step 1 – Setup:
  • Log in to your WordPress website.
  • Make sure you have UltimaKit for WP Pro installed and activated.
  • Go to the “WP UltimaKit” menu.
