Cleanup Admin Bar in WordPress
WordPress – Remove various elements from the admin bar.
Key Features of the Admin Bar:
- Site Navigation: A link to your site’s front end and often a link back to the WordPress dashboard.
- New Content Creation: Quick links to create new posts, pages, media, or users.
- Comments: A notification icon indicating the number of pending comments and a link to the comments section.
- Customization: The ability to customize the items that appear in the Admin Bar based on user roles and permissions.
- Plugins: Many plugins add their own links and features to the Admin Bar, providing additional functionality.
Let’s activate the Cleanup Admin Bar module:
Step 1 – Setup:
- Log in to your WordPress website.
- Make sure you have UltimaKit for WP installed and activated.
- Go to the “WP UltimaKit” menu.
- Find the “Cleanup Admin Bar” and turn it on.
Step 2 – Configure:
- Remove WordPress Logo from the Admin Bar.
- Remove Customise menu
- Remove updates counter
- Remove comments counter
- Remove new content menu
- Remove ‘Howdy’
- Remove the Help tab and drawer
